This song tells a harder truth.
whispering HOPE builds "Sardis" directly from Revelation 3 — the letter Jesus dictates to the church at Sardis. The indictment isn't that they left. It's that they stayed — and something underneath quietly died while everything on the outside kept looking alive.
"Your works appear complete and strong. But truth reveals what has gone wrong. The outer light still fills the room. Yet underneath, the heart is tombed."
Tombed. Not gone. Not destroyed. Tombed.
That word matters. Because a tomb isn't the end of the story in the hands of the right God.
But first — the diagnosis. First, the acknowledgment that something has gone quiet underneath everything that still looks fine on the surface.
